Helm of Isildur
At the end of the second age of Middle-earth, Narsil's blade was shattered, as Elendil fell during the Last Alliance of Elves and Men in the great battle against Sauron, creating the Shards of Narsil. Isildur, Elendil's son, then used the broken hilt of Narsil to cut the One Ring from Sauron's finger, breaking the bonds of his power, banishing his evil shadow into the darkness. The armor and helm that Isildur wore in the battle of the Last Alliance of Elves and Men was similar to that of his father Elendil. Like Elendil's, Isildur's helm was more ornate than the standard Numenorean version, and instead of the two large seabird style wings adorning the sides, Isildur's helm bears four smaller crests representing the points on a compass and also features feathered wing styled cheek guards.
